Am I a Candidate for Lumineers®?

Good candidates for Lumineers have teeth that are already fairly white and straight. Permanent dark stains or yellowed teeth might not be masked as effectively with a Lumineer, since the layer of porcelain is so thin – the same thickness of a contact lens.

However, if your teeth are only slightly yellow, you might still be a good candidate for Lumineers if you are willing to let Dr. Miller remove a small amount of your natural tooth structure, eliminating the discolored surface.

Patients should also have space between their top and bottom teeth to be an ideal Lumineers candidate. If you have a “tight bite” with little to no space between the top and bottom line of your teeth, applying Lumineers may slightly increase your mouth’s biting surface, potentially changing your bite pattern.
